Today we started to make an iMovie in groups. Each group had to make an Ad which made us want to eat the food they were promoting. Each person had to come up with a slogan to persuade the audience that they should eat or buy this food. Each group also had to make up a jingle about their food. Tomorrow we start Term 4. There is a lot happening this term with swimming, Fete, Grade 2 Sleepover, Gymbus and a couple of other incursions.

We have been looking at chance and doing some different activities to look at how likely or unlikely something might be.
Today we did a number of activities – tossing a dice to see how many times a 6 came up, tossing a coin to see how many times heads came up, a gum all machine with coloured counters in it to guess which colour was the most likely to come out first.
Today we learnt a new App called Prezi. This is a presentation App. Miss Morgan showed us how to use it and then we had a play. We are relating presentations on when to use “a” and ” an”. When they are finished we will put them up for you to see.
We were very fortunate to have Ms Lowe and Tegan and Sriram who are being “Principals For the Day” come and learn the programme with us as well.
Today Miss Morgan started to teach us the Cup Song. We had a lot of fun and a few broken cups. Most of us have got it. Now we are going to improve and get faster.
Today we have been discussing whether things are likely or unlikely. We discussed the animals that we thought would be likely or unlikely to see in the school grounds.
The list included dogs, ants, cats, pigs, birds and chickens.
We chose which ones we thought would be likely or unlikely and then went outside to see which ones we could find.
We only found three.
Today we started researching animals so we can write our own Information Reports. The children have chosen their own animal to learn about. We are working in groups across the Grade One and Two classes.
While learning our way round a new ipad app we made a book about ourselves. On the ipads you can record our voices but we cannot yet get that to work when not on an ipad.

We have been looking at how to classifiy animals into the different animal groups. The children researched one of the aniaml groups and then made a book about them. We did these books on an ipad app but have had to save them as a PDF so you can see them.
